Sarra Ben Yahmed

Nilanjan Bhattacharya

I am a PhD scholar at the Department of Economic Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. My research interest lies in Development Economics, Applied Microeconomics, and Experimental Economics. More specifically, my PhD research focuses on evaluating a public policy related to early childhood education. I have also used experimental data to measure the impact of forced migration on different dimensions of identity and social behavior.

Sara Casella

I just received my PhD in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. In September 2023, I will be a Post-doctoral Researcher at Stockholm IIES. In September 2024, I will join LUISS University as an Assistant Professor of Economics and EIEF as a Research Affiliate.

My research focuses on Macroeconomics and Labor Economics.

I am a professor of Economics, based at King's College London. My recent research has been in political economy and development economics. In the past I have worked in social choice theory, strategic voting, turnout, and on information economics and mechanism design in a wide variety of contexts from corporate governance to social networks and development economics. Most recently my work has been focused on social networks and labour productivity and on activism.

Thomas Eisfeld

I am a final-year PhD Candidate at CORE/LIDAM, UCLouvain, and ECARES, ULB.

My research interests include Industrial Organization and Behavioral Economics, with a focus on issues of the digital economy. I employ a combination of theoretical and experimental tools in my research.

I will be on the 2023/2024 Econ Job Market.

Michele Fabi

I am currently a post-doctoral researcher at CREST-Ecole Polytechnique (Paris) as a member of the Blockchain and Platform Chair.

Broadly speaking, my research fields are microeconomics and financial economics.

I do research on the digitalization of markets and money. I have papers on crowdfunding, blockchain design and decentralized finance.

I have an ongoing research project on the Sybil-resistent design of media outlets (how to deal with bots and fake identities).

Mélanie Gittard

I am an applied development and environmental economist studying climate change adaptation and water pollution in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Currently a post-doctoral researcher at Paris Saclay University, I defended my Ph.D. at the Paris School of Economics and CIRED in January 2023.
My Job Market Paper studies climate-induced migration in Kenya. It highlights strategic migration among educated and working-age individuals within the farming community, while herders migrate with their entire household

Elmer Zongyang Li

I am a P.h.D Candidate in the Economics Department at Cornell University. I will be on the job market 2023-2024.
My research interests are: Macroeconomics, Labor Economics, Industry Dynamics. Specifically, my research focuses on firms' demand for labor and how it is affected by (i) technological advancements and market structure shifts, and (ii) monetary and financial incentives. I am also interested in the resulting allocative and social efficiency due to labor demand changes.

Irene Monasterolo

Irene Monasterolo is an economist analysing the macro-financial impacts of climate risks and the design of mitigation and adaptation policies. She developed the EIRIN Stock-Flow Consistent-Agent Based model and the climate stress-test. Her research was published in top journals (Science) and applied by financial institution (e.g.World Bank, ECB). She is Full Professor of Climate Finance, co-founder of CLIMAFIN, assoc. editor at Ecological Economics, fellow at SUERF and Institute Louis Bachelier.

Alessandra Moresi

I am a 4th year PhD student in Torino (Italy), doing research through the lens of applied microeconomics. Interested in political, social media and gender. Fascinated by critical junctures within political systems.

Anna Naszodi

Anna Naszodi is a Senior Researcher affiliated with the Central Bank of Hungary. Previously she worked for the JRC as a Scientific Project Officer. Her research interest includes Demographic Economics, Applied Econometrics, as well as International Macroeconomics and Finance. Her papers were published in the Journal of Demographic Economics, the International Journal of Central Banking, the Journal of International Money and Finance and featured in the New York Times, as well as the VoxEU.

Adrian Nieto Castro

I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and a Visiting Research Fellow at the London School of Economics (LSE).

During Spring 2024, I will be visiting the Department of Economics of the University of California - San Diego, and in 2022 I was a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of California - Santa Barbara.

I am also a Research Affiliate at IZA and the University of Nottingham, where I obtained my Ph.D. by the end of 2019.

Dongxiao Niu

Hi, I'm Dongxiao Niu, a Postdoctoral researcher in real estate finance and urban economics at Maastricht University (MCRE).
My research interests are urban economics and environmental economics, with a strong focus on sustainability in the real estate sector. I obtained my Ph.D. degree in Management Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University (China), and Master’s degree in Economics from Peking University (China).

Carlos Daniel Santos

Main interests: productivity, industry dynamics, customer markets, data science, and industrial organization. His work has been published in leading journals such as The Economic Journal, The Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, and Regional Science and Urban Economics. Holds a PhD from LSE and was previously at the Universities of Alicante, Tilburg and a Faculty Fellow at MIT. His work has received several awards such as the EARIE Young Economist and ZEW Heinz Konig Young Scholar Award.

Julius Schoelkopf

Julius is a PhD Student in Econometrics at Heidelberg University, interested in Macroeconometrics and Financial Econometrics, especially applying time series methods for business cycle, monetary policy, and financial markets analysis. He has completed PhD courses and a Master of Science in Economics at the University of Mannheim. During his studies, he completed an exchange semester at the University of Zurich and gained work experience as an Intern at the Bundesbank.

John is the Professor of Financial Economics at Warwick Business School (WBS), University Of Warwick. He is the Associate Dean for the Bank of England Partnership and a CEPR Research Fellow. John’s research explores the effects of competition on ethical behaviour, on remuneration, and on price implications for firms and consumers.
