Room: Auditori In the last few years, inflation has picked up substantially in many economies. Following years where inflation was below target, policy makers suddenly had to react to inflation exceeding target substantially, and rising rapidly. This has led to many challenges, including a better understanding of the sources of inflation, the aggregate and distributional implications, the effects on inflation expectations as well as the repercussions of rapidly rising interest rates on, inter alia, financial stability.
